You’ll spend around 10 minutes in a private booth, where you will be screened. One of our trained female technicians will instruct you from outside of the booth, so you are in complete privacy. You’ll sit on a stool in front of a special thermal camera while it takes images of your upper body from multiple angles. There’s no contact, discomfort, or compression.

Yes—your upper body will need to be unclothed for accurate thermal imaging. However, you’ll be in a private booth, with one of our trained female technicians instructing you from outside of the booth in order to maintain privacy.

Not at all. There’s no touching, squeezing, or pressure applied. Most women say it feels surprisingly relaxed and empowering. Your upper body will be cooled to reduce your body temperature. This will enable us to reach the most accurate of results.

Yes. Once you are all set up in the booth and ready for screening we will quickly cool your body temperature down using a cooling unit to ensure we collect the most accurate of results. This takes no more than five minutes.

Yes. We’ll send you clear instructions before your appointment, such as avoiding hot drinks, lotions, deodorants, or exercise on the day. This helps ensure the most accurate scan. We cannot screen you if you have not followed these instructions, so it is essential you carefully read these pre-screening requirements.

Yes! Unlike mammography, our technology isn’t affected by implants or breast density and can be safely used by anyone with breast augmentation.

Of course. We want you to feel at ease. You're welcome to bring a friend or family member for support and they are more than welcome to sit and enjoy a hot drink in our waiting area whilst we complete your screening.

Thermalytix is a clinically validated, AI-powered screening tool that analyses thermal patterns of the breast to detect signs of abnormalities like cancer, cysts, or inflammation—often earlier than traditional methods.

Absolutely. Thermalytix uses infrared thermal imaging, which is completely radiation-free and safe for repeated use.

Yes. Clinical studies show Thermalytix is highly accurate, especially in younger women and those with dense breast tissue where mammograms can struggle to identify unknown growths. Whilst accurate we are not infallible and mis-detection does happen. We are working to reduce these errors down, but we do make mistakes, which is why Ada & Me is only the first step in any diagnosis.

Your images are analysed by a combination of advanced AI technology and a qualified radiologist who reviews and verifies every report.

You’ll receive a detailed report within 72 hours, which will be accessible via your secure Ada & Me account. If anything needs further attention, we’ll guide you clearly on next steps.

Don’t panic. This is not a diagnosis and most abnormalities are not cancer but it usually means there is something worthy of further investigation (most likely an abnormal growth). We’ll clearly explain your results and talk you through our recommended next steps. If you have requested a callback from our Technicians in the event of an abnormality being found, we’ll be giving you a call shortly.
